Let Me Introduce Myself.
My Name is Liz Belt and, just like anyone else, I have many layers. There is not much mystery to who or where I come from because I wear it all pretty well on my sleeve. I’m an open book and I’m often very straight forward. I’m enjoying being in my late 30’s and realizing just how short life is. I’ve learned so much from doing a lot of really good things and a lot of really dumb things; the ride has been amazing so far. I shared this little summary list of fun facts about myself via social media but my plan is to continue some blog posts about real life, real motivation and what it is like to try and push past our limits. Stay tuned if you are looking for some fun reads- cheers!
I'm Liz Belt. I'm the head instructor at ICC.
Fun facts you may or may not want to know about me:
I. I'm 37 years old and my first order of business on any God given day is my family. I just had a baby and I also have a badass 11 year old girl who is fresh to middle school. I'm married to the famous Mr. Allen.
2. I love coaching both adults and kids; currently attempting 6th grade volleyball (SOS)
3. I'm 100% human and have zero super powers, however, I was blessed with an over sized heart that will fight for the things I believe in - especially when it comes to my friends and family.
4. The value I live for the most is loyalty. I believe when someone understands the true value of loyalty that everything else will fall into place.
5. I make mistakes. I've learned a ton from everything I've ever messed up and I try to never make the same mistake twice. I'm looking forward to finding out what else I can mess up so I can learn even more.
6. I'm super hard on myself and it keeps me in check. I'm overly aware of my faults and it sometimes leads me to have voices in my head. True story.
7. I believe in being Aggressive. Passive Aggressive doesn't have a place in my world.
8. Transparency is my deal! Because I am forever changing, it means that in 6 months I may look at something different. I keep an open mind.
9. I believe in the good and refuse to believe that you are defined by single experiences in your life. We can always do better.
10. I was in the military for over 12 years where I spent over 2 of those years in Iraq in combat. That innocent 21 year old girl was left in the middle east in 2003 and therefore I do not “work” for everyone. I get it, but I'm not sorry.
11. I went to school for health and wellness and I've been training for over a decade. I believe in pushing people to find their limits and then helping them bust through them. For some people this takes years and for some it takes days. Whatever timeline you are on, I want you in one of my seats.
I look forward to this adventure and where we all go together!
